Kat Vandal: Happy Art
We caught up with Kat Vandal for the opening night of her solo show ✨Trip Down Happy Memory Lane.✨ at OmniDe++ London.

Kate Vandal is a French artist based in London known for her vibrant and nostalgic “Happy Art”.
Her work combines bold colors, layered textures, and upcycled materials to explore themes of joy, memory, and emotional expression. Drawing inspiration from childhood, pop culture, and everyday objects, Kat creates pieces that invite viewers to reconnect with their inner child and find beauty in imperfection. Her art has been featured in exhibitions in London and Berlin, and she continues to develop a distinctive visual language that resonates with audiences worldwide.
“This idea started when I found myself struggling to part with my son’s outgrown clothes, toys and drawings. So instead, I found joy in repurposing them into colourful works of art, celebrating precious memories of his childhood while revisiting mine.”
